Our Programs
Our projects
Our organization is involved in numerous projects
The core objective of the Foundation is to assist participants in its programs to become the best they can be so as to be able to succeed in our increasingly competitive world. The programs are structured to offer life-long partnership to participants from senior secondary school level through university till they become settled in their choice career.
Education
The main aim of this program is to prepare participants for impressive performance in their UTME such that they will be offered admission on merit at the university of their choice for the course they preferred most. This will be achieved through intensive coaching and regular practice on the appropriate platform (e.g. Computer-Based Test [CBT]). Career guidance and counselling services will also be provided.
Tertiary institution environment offer expanded freedom and new socialisation experience to undergraduates. Students who would have excelled in their studies get derailed through the wrong use of their newfound freedom and keeping bad company. This program is designed to motivate participants to focus on their future and their present opportunities to prepare for it. Program content will include:
- Motivational talks to propel participants to be sticklers for excellence in everything they do.
- Career guidance and counselling to focus participants’ attention on their future and identify what they need to do in the present in preparation for the future they desire.
- Provision of limited and competitive modest bursary award especially for extremely indigent students
The Nigerian education system has been so badly managed over the years to the extent that undergraduates are not adequately prepared for the job market. In fact, many graduates have been declared unemployable. The remedy for this malady is that graduate should be trained to become fit for the job market. Topnotch jobs require not only knowledge but also a whole lot skill sets not often part of tertiary education curricular. The focus of this program will be:
- Training participants on 21st century/emerging skills.
- Preparing interested and suitably qualified participants for top-notch job interviews.
- Providing mentoring services to participants who need to be nurtured to enter their chosen career and/or grow in it.
A cardinal objective of the Foundation is to offer hope to the hopeless that have a strong desire to succeed in life with a strong passion to struggle for success. The basic principle underlying the operation of the Foundation is that lack of resources, especially financial, should not debar anyone from reaching their possible bar in life. Consequently, the selection of the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s programs will be based on:
- Demonstrable ability by the applicant to utilize the opportunity offered by the Foundation by scoring not less than 50% in the placement test conducted by the Foundation.
- The applicant is verified to be truly indigent.
- A certain proportion of the spaces available in a program will be reserved by the BoT for applicants who are indigent and are the top end when ranked according to scores obtained in the placement test. This may be referred to the merit list of indigent applicants.
- The rest of the spaces in the program will be made available at the discretion of the BoT to applicants who have scored 50% or higher in the placement test but are given special consideration based on gender, disability, extreme indigence, etc. This may be referred to the discretion list of indigent applicants.
Empowerment
The world is rapidly changing and emphasis is shifting from job seeking to entrepreneurship. Unfortunately, entrepreneurship training was not included in tertiary education curriculum until recently. Even then, it has not been given the kind of attention it deserves by both teachers and students; reason be that teachers with the right level of competence to teach it are too few relative to student population and because it is not required for graduation so students care less about it.
The Foundation will offer training to budding entrepreneurs on:
- How to nurture business ideas
- Business management
- How to access investment funds
